"V CONGRESS OF BEDA BILINGUALISM"

On last Thursday October 16th, Conchi Vizcaíno Pardo, Kids English teacher, and Maria Belén Sánchez Pardo, ESO English teacher as well as Beda coordinator, attended to the “V CONGRESS OF BEDA BILINGUALISM CATHOLIC SCHOOLS OF MADRID - GLOBAL COMMUNICATION". It took place at school: " Nuestra señora de las Maravillas, de La Salle" in  Madrid.

It was a full day, from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Throughout the whole program, several very interesting presentations and workshops, mainly based on new methodologies and techniques to carry out a suitable implementation of bilingualism, not only for our schools, but also, for our lessons. The presentations were more theoretical and the  workshops more practical. But both very “realistic”.

The way of working was very entertaining, because both presentations  and workshops were worked in small working groups of 4 or 5 people. And over exposure, we adapted all the information we learnt to our schools and, at the same time, we exchanged experiences . It was really very positive. In fact, we have come back with lots of new ideas to share with the management team of our school.

This year, we have not only attended to the event for giving us the "renewal" for our project, but also by expanding it with a granted project "Beda Kids". Here you can see the moment when we received”the strip” leaving evidence of a new annex in our program of bilingualism “Beda”.

We had a lunch break and we took the opportunity to greet Beda managers and representatives from schools near our town. Also, we visited the different "stands" placed there about: Bilingual books; Linguistic immersion; Cambridge exams…and so on.

I take this opportunity of writing this article to thank the "school community": Families, teachers and students, your collaboration in order to carry out this project so exciting and positive for our school. And especially, as coordinator, I appreciate the great support from the management team of our school.

We have just started our second year at "Beda project" with great enthusiasm, new ideas, in order to make our school  “an even better school”, if it is possible… and always sticking to our slogan:

"STEP BY STEP, BUT ALWAYS, LOOKING AHEAD"
