ST. PATRICK'S DAY

On Monday 17th March, we have celebrated St. Patrick’s day at school. That is a religious celebration as St. Patrick took the Christianism to Ireland. This festival is celebrated all around the world.

There are some popular symbols like: Shamrocks, symbol of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; Hats, symbol of the Leprechaun, a type of fairy in Irish folklore, usually taking the form of an old man, clad in a red or green coat, who enjoys partaking in mischief.

At school everybody , teachers and students have worn green clothes and complements. And students from secondary level have drawn shamrocks and hats on the little ones’ faces.

We have started the day praying  about St. Patrick. After we have gone on preparing a great decoration for such a special day. Students from pre-school have painted shamrock; Students from primary 1st, 2nd and 3rd have painted hats; students from primary 4th,5th and 6th have painted little Leprachauns; students fron secondary 1st an2nd have prepared decorated letters about “Happy St. Patrick’s Day”; students from secondary 3rd have painted a big and lovely Leprechaun ; and finally, students from Secondary 4th have prepared Ireland flag.

In conclusion, it has been a very special day with a great and charming participation from everyone.
